Renders, specifications, information leaks, and upcoming flagships for the Galaxy S24 series

Galaxy S24

Early in the upcoming year, Samsung plans to introduce its newest flagship phone line. Thanks to Windows Report, official renders and specs for all three models—the Galaxy S24, S24+, and S24 Ultra—have now surfaced, providing us with a thorough first look at these eagerly awaited gadgets. The titanium frame of the Galaxy S24 Ultra is unquestionably the biggest upgrade, but there are other improvements as well. Let's examine this.

The new Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset and 6.2-inch Full HD+ OLED display will be included in the base Galaxy S24 model. It will have 128/256/512GB of storage options in addition to 8GB of RAM. A 4,000 mAh battery with 25W fast charging will be included in the handset. Its three cameras are centered around a 50MP primary sensor. Although it will be a more refined version of the S23, this reasonably priced flagship phone is still a strong choice.

Galaxy S24+

The Galaxy S24+ is an upgrade, featuring a larger 6.7-inch QHD+ OLED panel with a refresh rate of 120Hz. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip is the same, but it comes with more RAM options, including 8/12GB RAM and 256/512GB of storage. Moreover, the S24+ offers 45W rapid charging to boost battery capacity to 4,900 mAh. The rear camera configuration is unaltered.

The Galaxy S24 Ultra, though, ought to be the true star of the show. While it has the same Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip as its siblings, it has 256GB/512GB/1TB of storage instead of just 12GB. The S24 Ultra boasts a large 6.8-inch fully flat QHD+ OLED screen with a refresh rate of 120Hz. It has a 45W charging 5,000 mAh battery, which is the same capacity as the S23 Ultra.

Without a doubt, the Galaxy S24 Ultra's quad camera setup, which includes a 200MP primary sensor, is its best feature. Additionally, the phone has two 10MP (3x optical) and 50MP (5x optical) telephoto lenses. Although the 50MP 5x optical lens is said to be an improvement over the 10MP 10x lens on the Galaxy S23 Ultra, it seems that the zoom level has decreased.

In addition, the Galaxy S24 Ultra appears to have a smaller bezel than the Galaxy S23 Ultra, as evidenced by the equal width of all four edges. A few years ago, the non-Ultra model received an upgrade to equal bezels, and it seems that the top-tier model followed suit.

More information
Out of the box, all three Galaxy S24 models will run Android 14. They have Bluetooth 5.3, 5G, and Wi-Fi 6E/7. Samsung is integrating the on-device AI engine of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 with new generative AI capabilities into these phones. This will allow messaging apps to be translated into more than a dozen languages in real time. Larger vapour chamber heat dissipation systems are also anticipated for all three models, which should result in lower temperatures.

Take this information with a grain of salt, though, as Samsung has not yet made an official announcement regarding the release of a Galaxy S23 smartphone line successor. Regarding the date of release, anticipate seeing the updated lineup at a Samsung Unpacked event in the early months of 2019. To put this in perspective, the new models were revealed on February 1.
